Kayla's Story

Kayla Deal

Kayla Deal is a proud native of Prince George’s County, Maryland, committed to advancing health equity and building stronger, more resilient communities. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from her alma mater’s School of Pharmacy in 2023.

Kayla’s dedication to service and leadership has been a consistent theme throughout her academic and professional journey. As a student, she served as a student government representative and certified tutor, advocating for her peers while helping others succeed academically. She is also a devoted member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., through which she actively engages in community service, mentorship, and civic outreach initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission of public service and social change.

Her passion for healthcare stems from a desire to bridge the gap between underserved populations and quality medical care. With her clinical training and community-based approach, Kayla aims to be a catalyst for wellness in both pharmacy practice and public health advocacy.

Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Kayla finds joy in spending quality time with her family, exploring new music, and enjoying classic films. She brings compassion, intellect, and a deep sense of purpose to every space she enters, with a vision for uplifting those around her through education, service, and wellness.
